Caol Ila 2007 Wilson & Morgan Milroy's Exclusive 48% ABV
Our latest exclusive release is here! This time we’ve teamed up with Wilson & Morgan to select this 15-year-old Caol Ila bottling. Distilled back on 12 June 2007, it’s spent most of its life in a refill hogshead. For the last two years, however, it enjoyed an extended finishing period in a first-fill ex-Bourbon hogshead. It’s alive with orchard fruit notes, embedded over a gentle bonfire smoke. Delicious indeed.
Tasting note:
Nose: Dorset ice cream, apricot compote, baked hay and hessian
Palate: Gentle smoke, coal embers, lemon meringue pie
Finish: Long and lingering with Smokey bacon and fig pudding
